2019 NFL Conference championship preview

We are 3 weeks away from the season and have four teams still in contention for the big game.  In the Divisional round last all of the upper seed won.  On Saturday the Chiefs blew out the Colts 31-13.  The Rams beat the cowboys.  On Sunday the Patriots beat the Chargers and the Saints beat the Eagles.  That's what happened last week who knows what will happen this week.

NFC Championship Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints 3:05 pm FOX

The NFC Championship game is between the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints.  The Saints beat the Eagles last week by a touchdown.  That game did not start off well for the Saints as they allowed 14 points in the first quarter.  They eventually shut the Eagles down with a game closing Interception.  The Rams also had a close game beating the Cowboys 30-22.  They beat the Cowboys by rushing the ball with their running back by committee aproach.  With a semi Healthy Todd Gurley the Rams used former Denver Broncos Running back C.J Anderson.

My Prediction

I'm really excited about this game today.  The first time these two teams met it was great back and fourth contest between two of the great running backs in the league.  If this game comes anywhere near that then I would be happy.  I think the Saints will win this one in a close one 38-31.

AFC Championship Game New England Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs  6:40 pm CBS

The next championship game feature the New England Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs.  The Patriots destroyed the Chargers last week.  These teams have also met before the Patriots won that game by a touchdown in week 6.  The patriots are looking to get into their third straight super bowl.  They have won 3 out of the last 5 super bowls .  Wow that is a crazy stat.

My Predictions

This should be a good game as both teams have been great this year.  The Chiefs are favored by 3 points this week and I am going to take them in this match up.  They have a big home field advantage playing in one of the loudest stadiums in professional sports.  They have a electric offense and a rookie quarter back that can do it all.  I think the Chiefs will move on 45-40.
