Western Conference first half review

1.  Calgary Flames  The first team in the west is the Calgary Flames with 71 oints and a 6 point lead on the second place team the San Jose Sharks.  The FLames have been hot latley winning 8 out of thier last 10 in regulation and winning three in a row.   2. Winnipeg Jets  The Jets hold the third spot in the west with 31 win and 64 points.  The Jets have stayed consistent with their great playoff run last seaoson. The Jets are 5 points away from the first spot in the west.  The ets finished the first half of the season with a win. 3. San Jose Sharks  San Jose has the second spot in the west with 29 wins and 65 points.  This is a big improvement from last year.  This time last year the Sharks were fighting to stay in the top 8.  This year that has not been a problem as they have sored to the top of the standings.  One of the biggest reasons for the change was in the Off season when they signed former Ottowa Senator Erik Karlson.  That along wi

Super Bowl 53 preview New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Rams

Super Bowl Preview  After 17 weeks of the regular season and three weeks of playoffs the big game is here.  Another NFL season is going to wrap up today with the big game between the New England  Patriot and the Los Angeles Rams. New England Patriots  The Patriots represent the AFC this year have been in this  game 9 times.  All 9 of them have been with the same front office quarter back and Coach.  I am talking about Tom Brady and Bill Bellichek.  This year the Patriots won the AFC East with a record of 11-5 and got the second spot in the AFC.  After the bye they crushed the Chargers to get into the AFC Championship.   In the AFC Championship they beat the Chiefs in a overtime thriller with ea james White touchdown in over time. 2019 NHL Mid-season review Eastern Conference

The NHL season has hit the half way point with half of a season to play here is a breakdown of how the first half of the year went. Here is all the teams that currently sit in playoff position at the mid way point of the season Eastern Conference   Tampa Bay Lightning   Once again the Lightning are at the top of the Eastern conference with under 10 losses.  They hve 68 points and are 12 points in front of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Eastern conference.  New York Islanders   The Islanders have the second spot in the Eastern.  This is definitly a surprise to me the islanders have turned thier fortune around after not making the playoff last year.  This year they are at the top of the Metropolitan with a record of 29-15.  They moved up a lot in the last ten games with a record of 7-2-1. 2019 NFL Conference championship preview

We are 3 weeks away from the season and have four teams still in contention for the big game.  In the Divisional round last all of the upper seed won.  On Saturday the Chiefs blew out the Colts 31-13.  The Rams beat the cowboys.  On Sunday the Patriots beat the Chargers and the Saints beat the Eagles.  That's what happened last week who knows what will happen this week. NFC Championship Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints 3:05 pm FOX  The NFC Championship game is between the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints.  The Saints beat the Eagles last week by a touchdown.  That game did not start off well for the Saints as they allowed 14 points in the first quarter.  They eventually shut the Eagles down with a game closing Interception.  The Rams also had a close game be ating the Cowboys 30-22.  They beat the Cowboys by rushing the ball with their running back by committee aproach.  With a semi Healthy Todd Gurley the Rams used former Denver Broncos Running back C.J A

2019 NFL Division weekend preview Sunday

2019 NFL division Sunday preview Here we are the final two games of division weekend.  Last night we had two great games.  The chiefs killed the colts to get their first playoff win in many years. The Rams beat the Cowboys in a very close match-up.  Today we have two more very entertaining games. New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Chargers The first game of the day is between the Charger and the Patriots.  The Chargers beat the Ravens last week to get to this spot.  They beat the Ravens by pressuring Lamar Jackson and they need to do the same today in order to move on.  The Chargers are also 9-0 when they have traveled outside of Los Angeles.  The Patriots have the second seed in the AFC and are hosting this playoff game today.  The Patriots are looking for their tenth straight appearance in the AFC Championship game.  Philadelphia Eagles vs New Orleans Saints  4:40pm The next game is between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints.  The Eagles beat the Bea

2019 NFL Division Preview Saturday

   NFL Division Preview Wildcard weekend was just that wild we had 3 out of the four road teams win. We had some interesting calls and a kick that didn't just hit post put hit the left upright and bounce out to give the underdog team a win. Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs  Saturday 4:35 NBC The first game of the divisional round is the Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs.  The Colts are coming off of a huge win on Saturday against the Texans.  The Chiefs have the number 1 seed in the AFC and have the talent to make it all the way.  Although they have not been this good in years the chiefs have always found a way to choke in the playoffs.  Last year they went up by three scores and tried to close the Titans out after half time but they ended up losing 22-21.  Definitely one of the headlines for this weekend will be just because you have a high seed does not mean you get a free trip to the conference championship. 2019 National Championship Preview

Tonight is the College football national Championship between you guessed it Clemson and Alabama.  This is the the third time in the college football Playoff.  Last year they met in the semi Final Alabama killed Clemson 24-6.  This year both teams are undefeated which is a first for the national championship.  Alabama beat Oklahoma in the Semifinals in a shootout 45-34 to get to the big game.  Clemson routed Notre Dame to get here. How Alabama will win the game  The Tide will win the game by locking down the Clemson wide receivers that gave Notre Dame so much trouble in the semi final.  To do that they need to have long offensive possession[n to keep those dangerous wide receivers on the sideline. How will Clemson win the game  Clemson will win the game with their secondary.  Their secondary has struggled all year and Alabama knows that and if anyone knows how to take advantage of a teams flaws it is definitely Nick Saban.  Tigers also lead the nation in rushing  with a

Wild card weekend preview  The playoffs are here after 17 weeks of hard fought games 12 teams have the chance to battle it out for all of the glory of a super bowl championship. I ndianapolis Colts(10-6) vs Houston Texans (11-5) AFC wild card 4:35 ET Today ESPN The first game of the playoffs is a AFC south match up between the Colts and the Texans.  The Colts got into the playoffs with a Sunday night must win match-up  against their other  division rival Tennessee Titans.  The Texans won the AFC south on Sunday with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. 5 Seattle Seahawks(10-6) vs 4 Dallas Cowboys (10-6)  Today 4:35 The next wild card game is between the Seahawks and the Cowboys.  Both teams are 10-6 and looking to make a big run for the super bowl this year.  The Cowboys claimed the NFC east this year and have a home playoff game.  The Seahawks got the first wildcard week 16 after a win over the Chiefs.  The Cowboys are favored by 2.5 points in this match up.  These

Week 17 4:00 playoff preview  all 8 games that kickoff at 4:00 have playoff position. The final spots will be clinched in this section.   Charger (11-4 vs Broncos (6-9) The first game of the later afternoon slate features one team that can move to the top of the playoff race in the AFC.  The Chargers can win the AFC west and get the top seed in the AFC with a win.  The Broncos have been eliminated from the playoffs at (6-9). Raider(4-11) vs Chiefs (11-4) The have had a unbelievable season and they can clinch the top spot in the AFC today with a win.  The Raiders are looking for draft picks at 4-11.  If they lose today they could get the second pick in the draft. (4-11)  49ers vs Rams (12-3)  The next game with a clinching scenario is in the NFC North.  The Los Angelas Rams can clinch a first round bye with a win or a Bears loss.  The 49ers are tied with four other teams for the second pick in the draft and could possibly get the top pick in the draft.

The final week of the NFL season is upon us and their is a ton of playoff scenarios that could be happen today.  Teams that had the division in their sights could be eliminated,home field advantage will be clinched today and the final wild card spots in both conferences will be clinched to phew thats a lot of scenarios lets break it down.
