5 games to watch college football week 1

After 9 long months since Alabama won the national championship, college football is finally back and it starts this weekend with a full slate of games on Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday.  In this post, I will break down the five games that I will definitely be watching this weekend. 6 Washington vs 9 Auburn 3:30 pm Saturday Auburn  The first game is Washington Vs Auburn.  last year Alburn went to the SEC championship.  They lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 28-7.  That lost crushed their hopes for the College Football Playoffs.  Their team lost a lot of players to the NFL draft.  They need to rely on their younger players to step up. The Washinton  Washington on the other hand is in the opposite situation than Auburn.  Washington has a ton of young talent coming in this season.  Last season Washington appeared in the Fiesta Bowl against Penn State.  The finished 6th in the nation. Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) won division SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS  The Eagles had an awesome 2017.  They went (13-3) and won the division.  They did this behind their second-year star,  Quarter Back Carson Wentz.  Wentz had an unbelievable season last year until week 15 when he went down with a torn ACL during a scoring driving against the Rams.  With Wentz out for the season, the Eagles had to rely on backup quarterback Nick Foles.  Foles led the Eagles through the rest of the season.  In the playoffs, Foles was better than in the regular season leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title.  In the offseason, the Eagles improved their front seven and got new offensive weapons such as Dallas Goodheart and Mike Wallace. Dallas Cowboys 2017(9-7) missed the Playoffs The Cowboys missed the playoffs last year.  They went (9-7) last year and missed the playoffs.  In the offseason, they lost star wide receiver, Dez Bryant.  Also, their Tight end Jason

NFC south divsiion preview

NFC South Division preview  New Orleans Saints first in division 2017 record (11-5) The New Orleans Saints won the NFC South last year with a record of 11-5.  In the first round they beat their division rival Carolina Panthers.  But they lost last year against the Vikings in the Minneapolis miracle. Carolina Panthers 2017 record (11-5)  The Panthers had a decent 2017 with an 11-5 record.  They made the Playoffs by beating the Atlanta Falcons in the final week of the year. Atlanta Falcons 2017 record (10-6)  The Atlanta Falcons finished third in the NFC South. With a (10-6) record and made the playoffs in the second wild card.  But they lost in the division round to the Philadelphia Eagles  Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2017 (5-11) missed playoffs The Tampa Bay Bucs did not have a very successful 2017 season with a dismal record of (5-11).  In the offseason, they upgraded their offense with the signing of a couple of tight ends and running backs.  In the draft

NFC  West  The next division is the NFC West The Nfc west was one of the worst divisions in the NFL with only one team making the playoffs last year.  But there were some improvements in the offseason. Los Angeles Rams (11-5) Lost in the first round won the division The Los Angeles Rams had a phenomenal second season in Los Angeles.  They dominated behind their second-year QB Jared Goff who had an amazing turn around season.  Also, they had help from star running back Todd Gurley.  In the offseason Rams improved their defense by signing Marcus Peters, Aquib Talib Sam shields, and Ndamukong Suh.  The Rams are predicting to make a big run in 2018. Seattle Seahawks (9-7) second place in the division  The Seattle Seahawks were just short of the playoffs for the first time in 5 years. The teams one unstoppable defense referred to as the legion of boom have been dismantled during this offseason.  Richard Sherman was signed with the San Francisco 49ers and Kam chancellor retired

NFC North division preview  Minnesota Vikings 2017 record (13-3) Won division lost in the NFC Championship  The Minnesota Vikings won the NFC North last year.  Since the NFC championship, they have some additions.  They traded their quarterback Case Keenum to the Denver Broncos. They also signed longtime Redskins Quarterback Kirk Cousins.  They also re-signed wide receivers, Stephon Diggs and Adam Thielen.  With the return of star players Stephon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Green Bay Packers 2017 record (7-9) missed the playoffs The Green bay packers did not have a good season last year they finished third in the division.  They where extremely injury prone last year they lost Aaron Rogers in the middle of the season to a broken collarbone.  In the offseason, they lost wide receiver threat, Jordy Nelson.  They added a tight end, Jimmy Grahm.
